6/17 Not just a phone anymore Extra!
__6/20 Will mark the beginning of the end of regular (not web-capable) phones with DoCoMo releasing the 209i series. These are -marketed as- regular terminals with aquired iMode capabilities. 2 of the first 3 models are remakes of the very successful 208 series.
* P209i from Panasonic, at 60gr the lightest terminal yet.
* F209i from Fujitsu, with 256 colors. 63gr.
* N209i from NEC, a folding phone with a choice of 2 text sizes increasing the maximum characters on the screen to 100. (versus 200 for the N502i) The NEC terminal is rumored to have encountered some manufacturing problems and will be on sale later than the Panasonic and Fujitsu Models.
One more interesting detail? All three are bilingual !!!

__Over the last year IDO has been promoting -and in the last 3 months delivering- some level of international compatibility in their CDMA service, initially in Korea, then in HK. The latest targets seem to be Hawaii and Australia.Global Passport (J)
The ONLY model currently working outside Japan is the IDO C111SA, manufactured by Sanyo its maximum data transfer is 14K (versus 64K for other CDMAs) and not EZWeb or WAP compatible.

__Sony just announced this week the July release of PS One, a lighter, smaller (but no battery-power) version of its PlayStation. MSRP Y15.000.
